Its an strange day....

I have had my cat for almost a year now, and she is the sweetest little thing. But today as I am editing papers for school and working on posts and ideas... I feel lonely. This is because my beloved kitty is at the vet getting her teeth cleaned. It is the first time I have been home alone in a year! Its spooky. She was dropped off this morning and will be home in a few hours... but five hours of it just being me is such a strange thing. I just felt I had to share. And in December you will get the entire adoption story of my little girl. I just wanted to share. She is all I post on instagram if you want to check her out.

Weigh In #4!

SUCCESS!... Well for the most part. I did manage to have breakfast most days!

So this weeks change is making lunches and bringing snacks with me to work and to school. When you eat mostly out of vending machines it adds a lot of calories to your every day diet.

And for the weekly weigh in...

Previous Weight: 163.4 lbs
Current Weight: 162.4 lbs

I am feeling amazing about that! After last weeks disappointment I am so happy with a pound! That makes my total weight loss 2 pounds so far! It may not seem like a lot, but it means a lot to me.

I hope you are all as happy as I am right now!

Heist Society

When Katarina Bishop was three, her parents took her on a trip to the Louvre…to case it. For her seventh birthday, Katarina and her Uncle Eddie traveled to Austria…to steal the crown jewels. When Kat turned fifteen, she planned a con of her own—scamming her way into the best boarding school in the country, determined to leave the family business behind. Unfortunately, leaving “the life” for a normal life proves harder than she’d expected.

Soon, Kat's friend and former co-conspirator, Hale, appears out of nowhere to bring Kat back into the world she tried so hard to escape. But he has a good reason: a powerful mobster has been robbed of his priceless art collection and wants to retrieve it. Only a master thief could have pulled this job, and Kat's father isn't just on the suspect list, he is the list. Caught between Interpol and a far more deadly enemy, Kat’s dad needs her help.

For Kat, there is only one solution: track down the paintings and steal them back. So what if it's a spectacularly impossible job? She's got two weeks, a teenage crew, and hopefully just enough talent to pull off the biggest heist in her family's history--and, with any luck, steal her life back along the way.

I honestly wanted more out of this one.... but it was fun. Young adults stealing priceless works of art from high security areas. I didn't really like Kat as much as the author would like, but Hale.... I like him. Overall it was interesting, but I am not sure I am going to continue on with the series. Far to many other things to read, and this didn't spike my interest enough to get the next one at this moment.

Movie Madness!

Its kinda sad really.... I spent all of last Sunday watching Lifetime and Hallmark Christmas movies.... Yes they have already begun. Predictable, cheesy, but a true sign that Christmas is on its way. They never play my favorite... that came out when I was like six, but I still watch them. They are a tradition in my house.

Do you happen to have a favorite Lifetime or Hallmark Christmas movie?
Let me know down below!

And if you don't know just how predictable and cheesy these movies can be here is a trailer for a Hallmark movie new this year.

Just to let you know....

In December I am going to change my posts a bit. I have so much I want to do with this blog that I would like to start now... but December being ten days away why not perfect everything so I absolutely love it. November has been about getting into this beautiful blogging community, and I have loved every second of it. Now I want to craft my own special place exactly as I would like it. (I wish I had the computer programming knowledge to make it look as special as what I am planning on posting... but I am not that kind of mind.) So with that being said look for some awesome new weekly posts. I will be keeping most of my weekly bits, I like the structure I have set up... its all in the details.

Thanks for putting up with my ramblings the last two days!

Weigh In #3

I failed my challenge this week. I don't think I had breakfast once this week. But in my defense there was a lot of changes to my mornings that made it slightly impossible. But still I failed and am disappointed in myself. So I am sticking to the same change and will accomplish my goal this week.

Previous Weight: 163.2 lbs
Current Weight: 163.4 lbs

I am not happy, but at least I didn't gain a full pound! So far I have lost 1 lbs total!

Holiday Marathon #3: What I am Trying

One of my favorite things about the holidays is food. So I thought I would share a something I am excited to be trying this year! (I try a few for each holiday, they may or may not become a holiday staple in my house).

Hot Spiced Cider: Makes 8 Servings

8 Cups Apple Cider or Apple Juice
1/4 Cup packed Brown Sugar
6 inches stick of Cinnamon
1 Tspn Whole Allspice
1 Tspn Whole Cloves
1 Tspn shredded Orange Peel

In a large sauce pan combine cider and brown sugar.

For Spice bag put Cinnamon, Allspice, cloves, and orange peel in double thick cheesecloth tied with clean kitchen string. Add the bad to the saucepan with cider and bring to boiling. Reduce hear to simmer, and cover for ten minutes. Discard spice bag and serve.

Movie Madness

As I posted yesterday I am not to happy with the posts I had last week in respects to TV and Movies. So over the past week I have changed how I am going to do these posts. Things are always subject to change so it may vary week to week what is seen here. It isn't to often I go to the theater to see a film so you never know what I will post about!

But films I saw this week were two drastically different films, so here are my thoughts!

I did go and see Thor: The Dark World. AMAZING! Oh my gosh I had such a great time watching this film I honestly am willing to see it again and again! The last time I did that was for the Hobbit I think. The cast did it again though I think they are slowly becoming the characters with how many times they have already played them. I don't want to give away spoilers so I am going to stop on this last note. I laughed, I cried, I was scared to death for my favorite characters, and I loved every second of it. And if you are going to see it stay until the end of the credits, Marvel always does something at the end and this one was a good one!

I know I said I would watch the Host, but my mom begged me to go with her to see Gravity.

I wasn't as thrilled with this movie as I was with Thor.... but the two are drastically different in nature. Again no spoilers if you are interested in seeing this one, but it makes you think about life. The special effects are something to really talk about with this film, it is stunning. If that is what astronauts get to see I went into the wrong major. And the cast (the small number that it is) did amazing. I love George Clooney films and I love Sandra Bullock films, they are both so brilliant on screen.

Overall a nice movie weekend! Have you seen either? Let me know what you think down below!

What I'm Watching: Doctor Who Part 1

So last week I wrote my post about what I was watching that week... I don't like that idea very much. I can't get into details on why I enjoy watching a program if I am going through each thing I watch. So I am changing the format of this weekly post! I am going to pick one show from Netflix and do a bit of a marathon of it and tell you all what I think. Now with that being said I want to start this week with Doctor Who.

Doctor Who is an insanely long series to watch from the beginning. With fifty years of airtime (excluding the shows cancellation and recreation), there is just so much to watch and so little time. So I am going to share my thoughts on the reincarnation of the show as that is what made me love the show.

With that narrowed down I decided to focus on the Doctors themselves in the first few posts, (Yes this will continue all month because there is so much to share). So this week I will focus on Nine and Ten.

So lets get to it! I started watching the show on Netflix and fell instantly in love with Nine. I mean who doesn't? And please do not comment with nine hate if you are reading this. I don't think I would have watched the show if nine hadn't been first. Christopher Eccleston is amazing and looks so handsome in his leather jacket.

I am not sure I would have been able to handle the show if he wasn't at the helm, and I wouldn't have loved Rose as much if he didn't love her.... But that is going to be in another post.

I cried when Nine regenerated, I will admit it. I cry when they all regenerate, but nine was my introduction to the show originally and I couldn't stand loosing him when I started watching as a youth. (Note: I am twenty three, why am I talking about myself like this?) But I was pleasantly surprised by Ten.

He has the longest reign as the doctor in the new series, and David Tennants life seems to revolve around the show itself. (The woman who played the doctors daughter, is in fact a previous doctors daughter, and married the David Tennant). Back to the point. Re watching the show for the millionth time for me has been interesting and I am just about to finish the arc of Ten. And what I love about his version of the doctor is how he reacts with his companions. We only ever saw Nine with Rose to this point. Now there is Rose, Martha, and Donna. He acts differently with each of them and it makes for beautiful story telling. I will be reduced to tears again in a few days when I do reach the end of tens story.

I think I will leave it here for now. More about Ten, Eleven, and my thoughts on the new doctor will be coming soon. I apologise if this is a bit nerdy for you, but if you did enjoy my little bit on the Doctors leave a comment and let me know what you think about Nine and Ten!

When You spend to much on makeup...

It is time to go on a buying ban. I love trying new products, new colors, I want the entire store. But to save some money for the holidays I am banning myself unless it is truly needed, (running out of foundation or concealer).

This also means I am going to fall back in love with some old favorites! Its fun to do that right? I am always so excited when I fall back in love with something that I have. I think its a special thing.

Have you had to do a buying ban? Did it work?

Weigh in #2: Breakfast

Alright everyone it has been a week and the only thing I have changed about my life for this diet is cutting all sodas and juices. I did cheat one day as it was very cold one morning and I had run out of tea, so I had a hot chocolate. Only drinking water has made a change that I can feel. So lets see if there was any change in my weight this week!

Previous Weight: 164.4 lbs
Current Weight: 163.2 lbs

I didn't think it would be that much, I am pleasantly surprised by that!

This week I am going to eat breakfast every day. I tend to forget about it running out the door to drive to school in the morning, but I am going to make the effort. The saying is in the morning eat like a king! So lets see how it may help my weight loss this week!

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe

Summery from Goodreads.

Four English schoolchildren find their way through the back of a wardrobe into the magic land of Narnia and assist its ruler, the golden lion Aslan, to triumph over the White Witch, who has cursed the land with eternal winter.

I had to reread this classic for class, I am taking childrens literature this semester and I am loving it! I loved this book as a kid, but never read the entire series. But rereading the book, there was not as much as I remember there being, my childhood mind had more imagination I guess. But it was nice to revisit Narnia.

With that being said I am more likely to watch the movie between now and when I have kids then rereading this one again. So I am going to leave you with the movie trailer!

Holiday Marathon #2: Decorating

I love decorating for Thanksgiving, I like having random turkeys around the house. It all started with the hand print turkeys as a kindergartner. So I was poking around the Pier 1 sight and found a few cute things I would love to have around my house. And you can find them all on my luvocracy page Here . Everything is ordered by the week I post it in the month.

Lets start by talking about this adorable turkey table runner. Its so darn cute! The colors are fantastic and festive, but what kills me is the feet! Oh my gosh! My cat would have a field day with this one too.

And then there is this funky guy! I can honestly say I have never seen a turkey like him. I want him in front of my fireplace now! The colors are fun, I mean look at his face! He is such a cool little guy!

I love this little candle, I mean owls are so fun to decorate with. And who doesn't love candles around to flicker in the background of your evening?

To go along with that funky turkey, an adorable leaf owl! I would keep this guy up all year myself. I think its the small part of me that wanted a pet owl after reading Harry Potter the first time.

And finally a hedgehog! I adore hedgehogs! I have a few all around my house, my favorite being a stuffed animal that sits on top of my computer printer. This guy is really cute though, and would probably stay on my porch all year round.

I wish I could get all of these adorable things for my Thanksgiving decorating, but I may be able to splurge on a few of them.

Movies Madness!

As mentioned briefly in yesterdays post on tomorrow I will be going to see Thor: The Dark World with my friend Adam. I am a huge fan of the Marvel movie revamp that has been taking place over the last few years and Thor is one of my favorites.

If this isn't enough to make you want to see this movie I ask you to watch it again because the cast is amazing!

My Netflix movie is going to be The Host. I have never read the book but I hear it is better than Twilight so I think I will watch the movie first before wasting time to read it. (I apologize to any Twilight fans, I just couldn't stand the books or movies.)

Who knows what else I might watch this weekend. Netflix is full of things to watch.

What I am Watching!

Alright so lets talk TV this week...

Monday: The Voice is finally in the live shows! Both teams were really strong but my favorite to win is Cole Vosbury now on team Blake. He is so talented and has never picked a wrong song in my book. I hate the first battle because they can't choose the song. But he has just impressed me. Here is his performance from Monday.

Tuesday: I spent Tuesday night constantly switching back and forth between shows. The majority of the shows I am loving seem to be on Tuesday. Agents of Shield on ABC and the Biggest Looser on NBC at 8pm. Supernatural and The Voice results at 9! Why do you have to do that to me? Thank god I can go back and fully watch everything later. Thanks internet!

Things I am looking forward to:

White Collar tomorrow! I just love White Collar, it never lets me down. And if you didn't catch it over the summer Graceland is also amazing. Same network, same creator, its just amazing drama.

Friday is usually a going out night for me. I think I am going to Thor...
Saturday is a Netflix night with mom so who knows what we will watch...
And FOOTBALL SUNDAY!

So look for this post again next week to see what I watched and what I am looking forward to again. And please share any of your favorites and I will check them out!

Organix Hair Care

I have been wanting to try the Organix line for awhile, so when I was in need of some shampoo and conditioner I decided to pick up these three.

The Hydrating Macadamia Oil Shampoo did scare me a bit at first. I have oily hair that has to be washed every day with other products. With this shampoo I could skip a day and I still didn't look to oily! I am so in love with it I almost cried when I was done with the bottle.

The Conditioner (also the Macadamia Oil), my hair has never felt so soft. Besides the amazing feeling of my hair it looked amazing too! I barley had to style my hair to get my desired look!

And finally the hydrating mask used once a week is an amazing addition. I love a good conditioning mask and I was so excited by the results.

Overall I am in love with the macadamia oil line, they work amazingly and smell delicious!

My Diet: Weigh In #1

I need to be a bit more healthy, I am above where my BMI number should be. So here is me becoming accountable for my diet by blogging. I will check in every week with a new diet change I am making. Changing everything so quickly will not work, so slow changes to a healthier me!

So first the Weekly Weigh in.

Previous Weight: N/A
Current Weight: 164.4 lbs

What will I be changing this week?

Water! Well... I will be drinking more water. No longer will I be drinking soda, juice, etc. Water and milk, that is it. I know it isn't so glamorous but it is the first change in a long list of changes.

My Current favorite bottled water is Activate, but I am not saying I buy loads of bottled water, my Brita pitcher is well loved and always in need of refilling. But when I am at school it is a quick thing to grab on my way out the door.

So lets see how I do this week!

Waking Up Married

(Summary from Goodreads)

Her first thought: "Who are you?"
It's the morning after her cousin's bachelorette party in Vegas and Megan Scott wakes up with the mother of all hangovers. Even worse, she's in a stranger's penthouse having woken up with something else as well - a funny, arrogant, sexy...husband!
Up until now, finding even a boyfriend had seemed impossible - been there, got the broken heart, sworn off men for good. Then a few martinis with Carter...no, Connor Reed and she's gone from first meet to marriage in one night!
Megan wants a lawyer. But Connor's shocking bombshell?
"I don't want a divorce."

I liked this book, it was sweet and every bit the story it claims to be. It was nothing memorable or anything I may read again, but it was a fun way to pass some time away instead of playing angry birds! It is everything a Harlequin Kiss book is meant to be! If you are looking for something fun to pass an afternoon away this is a great book for that!
